# How it works

Rocket is a **price prediction platform.**

You open a chart, draw a range where you think the price will go, and pick a timeframe. If the price touches your range, you win. **The more precise you are, the more you earn.**

{% step %}

## Open a chart and pick your asset

Choose the asset you want to predict: BTC, ETH, SOL, or HYPE. You'll see a live price chart, the same kind of chart you'd see on any trading platform.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

## Pick your timeframe

Every chart has a timeframe. The timeframe determines how long your prediction is active. Shorter timeframes mean faster results. Longer timeframes give the price more room to move.

| Chart window | Your basic range is active for |
| ------------ | ------------------------------ |
| 3 min        | 15 seconds                     |
| 30 min       | 2 minutes                      |
| 4 hours      | 20 minutes                     |
| 12 hours     | 1 hour                         |
| 3 days       | 8 hours                        |
| 1 week       | 1 day                          |
| 1 month      | 3 days                         |
| 3 months     | 1 week                         |

Pick the one that matches your conviction. If you think BTC is going to move in the next few seconds, use the 3-minute chart. If you have a read on where it'll be tomorrow, use the 1-week chart.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

## Draw your range

This is the core of Rocket. You draw a shape directly on the chart: a zone where you believe the price will travel.

You have full control over what that shape looks like. Make it tall and narrow. Make it wide and flat. Stretch it into a thin line across the chart for a high-risk, high-reward read. Squeeze it into a tight box around a single price level.

You drag, resize, and position it however you want, both vertically (price) and horizontally (time).

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/oZoQJigMRG6OeebJCYvN" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

A thin line at a precise level means you're saying "the price will hit exactly here." That's hard to get right, so the multiplier is high. A wide range covering a broad zone means you're playing it safer, so the multiplier is lower. The shape you draw is your prediction, and the odds automatically adjust to match.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

## Check your multiplier and confirm

As you adjust your range, the multiplier updates in real time. This is what you'll earn if you're right. You see the exact number before you commit, no guesswork.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/RK1tFJDe0VBOrr0G5Nnn" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Once you're happy with your shape, your timeframe, and your multiplier, you confirm. Your stake is locked. Your maximum loss is exactly what you put in, nothing more.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

## Watch the result

Your range is now live on the chart. The price moves in real time.

**If the price touches your range at any point during the window, you win.** Even a single wick entering the range counts. You collect your stake multiplied by your multiplier.

**If the price never reaches your range before the window ends, you lose your stake.**
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Key concepts

### 1. One asset, one pool

Unlike prediction markets where every question is a separate pool, Rocket keeps all liquidity for an asset in one place. Whether you're predicting the next 15 seconds or the next week, you're drawing from the same depth. Your precision doesn't come at the cost of thinner markets.

### 2. Touch-based settlement

You don't need the price to close inside your range. You don't need it to stay there. It just needs to touch it once. A single wick counts. This means even fast, volatile moves can resolve your prediction in your favor.

### 3. Defined risk

Your maximum loss is always your stake. There is no leverage, no margin call, no liquidation, no funding rate. You know exactly what you can lose before you confirm.

### 4. Range chaining

You can place multiple ranges on the same chart, mapping out your full read on where the price is heading over time. Each range resolves independently based on its own window.

## Vaults: the other side of the market

Every range you draw has someone on the other side. On Rocket, that's the vault system. Vault operators provide liquidity and set the odds for your ranges. They're not a house with a fixed edge. They're independent market makers who define their own risk and pricing.

You don't need to understand vaults to use Rocket. But knowing they exist means you know the odds are set by a competitive market, not by the platform.

## Available assets

Rocket launches with four assets: **BTC, ETH, SOL, and HYPE.** The architecture supports any asset with a price feed, so this list will grow over time.
